Atomic Cowgirl started outside Atomic Liquors in Downtown Las Vegas. Beneath the glow of neon lights stood a cowgirl who seemed completely at home in the city’s electric energy. The scene was pure Vegas—bold, unapologetic, and impossible to ignore.

That moment became the foundation for this painting.

Rather than creating a literal portrait, Andy Carlson used the image as a starting point to explore the spirit of the modern American West. The result is a piece that blends contemporary cowgirl culture with the grit, color, and character of Downtown Las Vegas.
